Jimmy Choo has opened its first boutique in Rome at 68 Via Condotti. This is the luxury brand¡¯s second store in Italy and comes after the September 2003 opening of the store at 17 Via San Pietro all¡¯Orto in Milan.
The space in Rome ¨C a ¡°store-boudoir¡± that conjures up the architectural glamour of a Forties boutique ¨C has footwear, handbags and leather accessories by the British fashion house, including a complete collection of sunglasses produced by Safilo Group.
¡°Via Condotti is one of the most important locations in the world¡±, commented chief executive Joshua Schulman. ¡°Our intention¡±, he continued, ¡°is to build an important local and international client base in this historical and significant capital of luxury¡±.
Founded by Tamara Mellon and since 2007 owned by the private equity company Towerbrook Capital Partners, the brand should have 80 single-brand stores, worldwide, by year end (see also fashionmagazine.it June 25, 2008).
